Do you remember your grandmother making this and thought you’d never find it again? We have it and it’s chocked full of vine ripened tomatoes combined with sugar and pectin. Try it over macaroni and cheese instead of stewed tomatoes.

DESCRIPTION
Try this fun appetizer at your next holiday gathering!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Skinny Baguette, sliced into 1/4″ to 1/2″ slices
- Butter for the grilled cheese
- 4 oz. Jarlsberg cheese, sliced into pieces to fit baguette slices
- 1-10 oz. jar Kitchen Kettle Tomato Jam
- 1/8-1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Butter one side of each Baguette slice. Add a slice of the Jarlsberg cheese to the unbuttered side of half of your baguette slices. Stir the red pepper flakes into the tomato jam if using. Put a dollop of the KKV tomato jam on top of the cheese. Place a second baguette slice on top, buttered side out. Grill until gold brown on each side. Yield depends on size of baguette.
